Mike Dumas began serving with Good News Jail & Prison Ministry in October of 2006. Mike's background includes several years of service with Thershold, Inc., a residential and school program for developmentally disabled persons who have special behavioral challenges. Mike has been working for the last year and a half as the chaplain of the Horizon facility (which houses a 1000 men), sharing the Gospel of our Lord Jesus to the inmates of Orange County Corrections. He also directs the Life Learning Program, a discipleship program that encourages inmates in their new walk with Christ. Mike has two children from his former marriage. Mike is blessed to have a new wife, Amanda, who was herself a missionary overseas. She is adjusting well to life in the United States and is enjoying the new adventure of being a wife and mother. |
