Rev. Jim Fitzgerald, Teaching Elder
Mr. Richard Leigh, esq., Ruling Elder
Dick Leigh and his wife Sharon have been with CPC for over 30 years. He has served Central Florida during that time as an attorney, active with the local Christian Legal Society and other Christian and charitable works. His compassionate and wise leadership have been a profound blessing to CPC. Dick serves as a member of our missions committee, and in addition, he and Sharon help to plan the activities of the "over 50" fellowship at CPC.
Mr. Ron Lanphear, Ruling Elder
Also a long time member (over 30 years), Ron has recently retired from many years in a local business in Central Florida. He has done it all: Deacon, Elder, Sunday School teacher, host (with wife Judy) of countless church picnics, and much much more. Ron also serves as a member of the missions committee, and brings a stability and patience to CPC's leadership.
Mr. Jonanthan Boardman, Ruling Elder
Jon is a graduate of the University of Florida and Reformed Theological Seminary (M.Div. 2005) and has taught English at Winter Park High School for many years. Married to Zahyra, and father of three young daughters, Jon has led the CPC men's fellowship and brings energy and vision as a recently elected and ordained elder.
Mr. Michael Sacasas, Ruling Elder
Mike is also a recent addition to our Session, but has quite a history with our church. He taught young people for many years at Covenant Christian School, has helped lead the Middle School youth program, taught various levels of Sunday school - and now coordinates our Adult Education program and leads the occasional meeting of the Mars Hill Discussion group. He has taught small groups at CPC, and spoken in our evening services as well. He is a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary (M.A. in Theological Studies 2003). When not ministering to our church body, Mike teaches at Orangewood Christian School and Belhaven College. He brings theological acumen and intentionality to our Session.
Mr. Thomas McFadden, III, Ruling Elder
Tom and Debbie McFadden are more recent additions to CPC, transferring from our sister church Orangewood Presbyterian when CPC moved to Oviedo. Tom and Debbie bring a stable and deep commitment to Christ and our heritage. Tom is a graduate of Covenant College, the PCA sponsored college near Chattanooga. Tom leads a CPC small group in Oviedo/Chuluota and brings careful and intentional thinking and leadership to his new role as a ruling elder. Tom works for a local insurance company, and his children are Thomas and Annagayle.
Mr. David Clow, Deacon
David has worked for many years in the computer support division at Campus Crusade for Christ. He and his wife Holly bring a quiet and deeply faithful presence and ministry to CPC. David can be found helping and serving . . . all the time. And CPC is grateful.
Mr. Jason Pauley, Deacon
Jason brings a deep, quiet commitment to his calling as a servant leader in the church. His energy and availability have proven invaluable to our body.
Mr. Reggie Spann, Deacon
Reggie balances work and family (Cheryal and three young ladies at home) with needs in the church family. Like the others, he is available when the need arises.
Mr. Tim Beaver, Deacon
Tim has served the church for many years in this quiet but crucial role, fixing, counting, painting, planning, counting, cleaning, did we say "counting"?
Mr. Daniel Fridsma, Deacon
Dan, and his wife Dru, are some of CPC's veteran members, having been with the church through many changes over the years. Dan brings stable and dependable service and dedication to Christ to the Deaconate. Dan served for 10 years on the governing committee for Covenant Christian School. He and Dru have been faithful members of the choir and Dan also serves with the worship team handling technology from the back of the sanctuary.
